Seahawks to Fish and Raise Funds for Local Special Needs Children
Sponsorship call for May 2010 fishing fundraiser

RENTON, WA, December 15, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Virginia Mason Athletic Center will host the 4th annual Seahawks Fish & Feast Charity fundraiser in support of the Catch A Special Thrill (C.A.S.T.) for Kids Foundation in May 2010. This is a call for sponsorship for any companies or individuals who would like to support the event and charity.

The Seahawks' players and coaches will host disabled and disadvantaged children from the local area for a morning of fishing followed by a barbecue lunch, entertainment, and auction featuring a variety of local and authentic Seahawks prizes.

There are five levels of sponsorship; Presenting, #12 Reel, Blue Reel, Green Reel, and White Reel. The Presenting sponsor for 2009 and 2010 is Pinnacle, An American Management Services Company (www.pinnacleams.com), based in Seattle. #12 Reel, Blue Reel Level and Green Reel Level sponsorships offer companies an opportunity to attend with family members and employees to fish with the children and a Seahawk player or coach, take part in the rest of the day's activities, advertise their company, and offer tax-deductible support to a local foundation that encourages our special needs children's groups to spend time in the outdoors.

According to Rosie Kirby, a local occupational therapist, "This program supports leisure involvement and mastery in a motivating and socially simulating task and environment. The ability for a child to learn a new skill and have a sense of achievement is some of the best therapy that a child can receive."

Last year, the Seahawks helped raise $25,000 for the C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation. In 2010, we are aiming for an even greater outcome!

The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation, established in 1991, provides disabled and disadvantaged children an opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. The foundation, based in Renton, takes over 12,000 children fishing each year.
